The Joël Robuchon International group has reopened the legendary restaurant L’Atelier Robuchon London, offering an even finer dining experience. The Mayfair restaurant, which was previously a Comptior Robuchon, reopened its doors on Friday 15th September to rave reviews.
The group already has esteemed restaurants in Hong Kong, Miami, Taipei, Las Vegas and Geneva. Great French chef Joël Robuchon was the most awarded chef the world has ever known, with 31 Michelin stars across three continents. Despite his departure in 2018 his name still dominates the global culinary scene, and is expected to do so for generations to come.
Now the Mayfair restaurant is back and better than ever, with a new menu overseen by executive chef Andrea Cofini, who joined the brand in 2014. Andrea worked in partnership with group executive chef David Alves to ensure the relaunch stays true to Joël Robuchon’s legacy and upholds the brand’s reputation for excellence. Alongside some of the signature Robuchon classics such as Sea Bream Carpaccio with lemon and chive, Quail with Foie Gras and world famous Purée de Pomme de Terre, diners will be treated to a new menu showcasing Cofini’s international experience and love of Thai flavours. Those with a sweet tooth will be delighted to hear that the much-loved dessert trolley has returned, displaying mouthwatering puddings and beautifully crafted pastries on a marble top. There will also be a trolley for cheese lovers, offering a rotation of France and Italy’s finest cheeses.
Those familiar with the Mayfair restaurant will notice a new bar at the entrance; an opulent affair leading to the open restaurant area which seats 74 diners. As is the L’Atelier Robuchon way, diners will be treated to a view of the kitchen, where they can see the chefs perfecting their art behind an elaborate marble counter. The aesthetics are plush yet modern, with a palette of red and black and warm lighting throughout. Wine pairings are exceptional, curated by world-class sommelier Neomie Favrat who is renowned for her love of French flavours and old world traditions. Like the food, which is all about provenance and quality, the wine list pays homage to small, family owned vineyards producing the world’s finest wines.
Another addition to the reincarnated Mayfair restaurant is an outstanding bar menu offering morsels from the kitchen, while guests can enjoy live music all evening. At the bar you can sample the genius of Renoud de Bosredon Combrailles, an alchemist among cocktail makers, with a menu that features surprising ingredients such as hay sake and pastry infused Vodka.
Whether you’re planning to visit L’Atelier Robuchon London for a long lunch, celebration, romantic dinner for two, or you’re just dropping in for a drink at the bar, you can expect a five star experience. But as is expected with such a prestigious eaterie, reservations are limited. We’re delighted to announce that Venturion PC clients have exclusive access to reservations at some of the restaurant’s best tables.
